Managing groups

Build reusable lists and invite the same people together

What a group does

A group is a reusable list of email addresses for class invitations — membership does not automatically invite someone to every class or grant material access

Group list

  • See the group count beside Group list — enter a group name, member name, or email and select Search or press Enter to apply the query and update the result count
  • Empty group and member lists show one short message — Create group stays at the top of the page, and Reset appears above the list while searching
  • Each group shows its member count and pending verifications — select the group name or View members to open a dialog showing all members, even when the group list is filtered
  • The dialog supports adding, verifying, editing, and removing members, with Edit group and Delete group below — closing or saving an add/edit form returns to the member list; use the top-right X or Escape to dismiss the dialog

Create a group and verify members

  1. Open Groups, choose Create group, enter a name in the dialog, and submit — names support up to 80 characters, and Enter also submits the form
  2. After creation, the search clears and the new group's member dialog opens — choose Add member and enter an email; the display name is optional
  3. Each member opens the link in their verification email to confirm their address
  4. Select the group when creating or scheduling a class

Editing and saving

Canceling or closing discards unsaved input — fields and dismissal are temporarily disabled while saving, and errors appear inside the dialog while preserving your input

If the verification email is missing

  • Check the email address and spam folder first
  • If the class is about to start, ask the host for a direct join link
